The Regulation mandates that, starting August 12, 2026, all packaging (e.g., paper, cardboard, plastic, wood, etc.) placed on the market shall not contain substances harmful to human health or the environment. Once packaging has served its purpose, it becomes waste and, as such, has the potential to pollute the environment where it ends up.
