Plastitalia has been awarded by a brand new certification from Bureau Veritas (Italy) UNI 11024: Quality requirements for welding of polyethylene pipes for gas, water and other pressure fluids pipelines. This standard sets rules for organizations involved in the welding of plastics pipeline and/or components (e.g.: fabricated bends, etc.). The observation of the UNI 11024 requirements is a guarantee for the market that the organization has a documented system management for the whole welding processes. For a company like Plastitalia this process starts with the customer’s request and go on with all stages, eg.: purchasing of the right material and its control, training of internal welders and people, checks of tools and equipment and testing of the item manufactured on the base of an internal sampling plan. All of this is made to provide the market with products that, even made as an handcraft, are under control at the same level of an industrial product.

During the last 11th December took place the traditional meeting in which the whole sales force is informed and analyze the sales results related to the running year.

Especially positive data have been shown related to the trend of sales and payments. The first let to register a good improvement while a favorable reduction of times for the second is saw.

Some time has been spent into the analysis of the Italian market where the sales were growth much more than the budget forecast. This  result, compared with the Italian market data, allows us to think to our Company as one of the most important leader in the internal market.

Nevertheless these results aren’t see as a point of arrival but rather a starting point for the new year’s sales strategy.

In order to obtain a reliable joint, it is necessary to use the right tools during the installation of the large diameter fittings. For this reason, Plastitalia has developed mechanical tools to simplify installation and ensure a better performance of the joint obtained.

On September 28th, the workshop, "Pipeline Design: The Case of Polyethylene" was held at the Acquedotto Pugliese headquarters in Bari. Various topics were addressed, including the development and application of the European and Italian regulatory frameworks as well as the role of universities in research applicable to engineering solutions and materials.
